Look at where the name sits. The two loops of the band do not meet on their own.
The name is what connects them, running diagonally through the crossing point, so the infinity only closes because the name is there.
That is the whole idea of the piece, and it is why it does not read as a plain band with a name stuck on top.
The design is open in the middle, so light passes through it, and the ring looks lighter on the hand than its size suggests.
This is a statement ring rather than a delicate one. It is meant to be the only ring on that finger and to be seen from across a table.
Sterling silver is the base metal in all three finishes, so the gold and rose gold versions are the same ring with 24K gold or rose gold plating.

GETTING THE SIZE RIGHT

• Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest
• The ring should slide on easily and need a small tug over the knuckle
• Cold weather shrinks fingers by about half a size
• Quarter sizes are offered, so if you know you sit between two whole sizes, you can order the exact one
• This is a wide design, so when in doubt go up rather than down
• Buying as a surprise: borrow a ring she already wears on that finger and send me the inside diameter in millimeters

Q: Can I put a word instead of a name?
A: Yes. A nickname or a short word works the same way.
Q: Is this a delicate ring or a big one?
A: A big one. The design is about 25 mm across the finger and 12 mm tall, with a central opening. It is a statement ring, not a stacking ring.
Q: Is the gold solid?
A: No. The base is 925 sterling silver in all three finishes, with the gold and rose gold options featuring 24K plating. It is not sold as solid gold.
Q: Will the plating wear off?
A: Plating is a surface layer, and a ring takes more contact than a necklace does. Expect the gold and rose gold to soften over a year or two of daily wear, faster with hand cream, cleaning products and the sea. Sterling silver has nothing to wear off and only needs an occasional polish.
Q: Do you really make quarter sizes?
A: Yes. The size menu runs from US 3 to 13 in quarter steps, not half steps, as most rings do. If you have always been half a size out in one direction, this is the one where you can get it right.
Q: Can it be resized later?
A: No. The name is part of the ring's structure, so cutting and rejoining the band would break the design. Please measure carefully before ordering.

International orders are prepared and dispatched from my workshop first.
