The engraving goes on the inside of the band, against the skin, which is the whole point of this set.
Nobody across a table can read it. The person wearing it knows it is there, and so does the person who chose it, and that is the entire audience.
Each ring is sized individually, so you order his size and her size in the same purchase, and each band is made to fit.
The diamonds are lab-grown, meaning they have the same material and hardness as mined stones, at a fraction of the price, set flush enough that the band still slides under a glove.
It works for an engagement that is not yet an engagement, an anniversary, a promise made at a distance, or a wedding set for two people who want something simpler than a traditional band.

GETTING THE SIZE RIGHT

• Measure at the end of the day, when fingers are at their largest
• A ring should slide on easily and need a small tug over the knuckle
• Cold weather shrinks fingers by about half a size
• If you are between sizes on a 5 mm band, go up
• If you are buying as a surprise, borrow a ring they already wear on that finger and send me its inside diameter

The hidden engraving is what makes this set that object rather than two plain rings. The message is not decoration for other people to read. It sits against the finger and is read once on the day it is given, then remembered every time the ring is turned.

Q: Is this one ring or two?
A: Two. One 5 mm men's ring and one 4 mm women's ring, sold together as a set. You choose both sizes in the same order.
Q: Are the diamonds real?
A: They are lab-grown diamonds, which are chemically and optically identical to natural diamonds, grown rather than mined. The set weighs 0.02 carats.
Q: Where does the engraving go?
A: Inside the band. It is invisible when the ring is worn, which is why it is called a secret message.
Q: How many characters fit?
A: The women's 4 mm band is the limiting one. Keep each message to about 2 words, and it will sit comfortably. Send me a message first if yours is longer, and I will tell you honestly whether it will read well.
Q: Can the two rings say different things?
A: Yes, and most people do it that way. Write both lines in the personalization box and label which is which.
Q: Is the gold solid?
A: No. The base is 925 sterling silver in all three finishes, with the gold and rose gold options featuring 24K plating. It is not sold as solid gold. Plating wears over years of daily contact, faster with perfume, chlorine and seawater.
Q: Will sterling silver go dark?
A: Sterling silver tarnishes slowly in air, faster with perfume, chlorine, and seawater.
A soft polishing cloth brings it back in a minute. A ring worn daily barely tarnishes at all, because skin contact keeps polishing it.

Because every personalized item is handmade specifically for each customer, I do not accept returns or refunds for custom or personalized orders.
