The pendant hangs from two points rather than one, so the infinity lies flat along the collarbone instead of turning on the chain.
The feather runs diagonally through the middle of the symbol, which is where the two loops cross. It is the only part of the piece that is not a curve, and it is what stops the infinity from reading as an empty shape.
The name sits inside the right loop, resting along the lower curve, cut from the same sheet of metal as the rest. Nothing is soldered on.
Sterling silver is the base metal in all three finishes, so the gold and rose gold versions are the same pendant with 24K gold or rose gold plating.

WHY THE FEATHER

An infinity symbol on its own says something very general. The feather narrows it: lightness, a person who is gone, a person who is free, depending on who is wearing it and why.
That is why this one gets ordered for such different reasons. It goes to bridesmaids, to mothers, to daughters at eighteen, and to women buying something for themselves after a year they wanted to mark.

Q: How long can the name be?
A: Up to about 8 letters sit best inside the loop. Longer names are still made; the script runs finer. Send me a message first if the name is long, and I will tell you honestly how it will look.
Q: Can I put a word instead of a name?
A: Yes. A nickname or a short word works the same way.
Q: Will it flip around on the chain?
A: No. It hangs from two points, one at each end of the infinity, so it stays flat and right-side up.
Q: Is the gold solid?
A: No. The base is 925 sterling silver in all three finishes, with the gold and rose gold options featuring 24K plating over it. It is not sold as solid gold.
Q: Will the plating wear off?
A: Plating is a surface layer,r and it wears off over years of daily contact, faster with perfume, chlorine and seawater. Take it off before swimming or showering, and it keeps its color far longer. Sterling silver has nothing to wear off and only needs an occasional polish.
Q: Which length should I choose?
A: 18 inches is the usual adult choice. Go to 16 if you want it high at the base of the neck, and 20 or 22 if you want it visible over a top. 14 inches is a child size.

Because every personalized item is handmade specifically for each customer, I do not accept returns or refunds for custom or personalized orders.
