The letter is soldered to the chain at two points rather than hung from a bail, which is what keeps it lying flat and facing forward all day. A hanging pendant spins; this one cannot.
925 sterling silver is the base in all three colors, so the gold and rose gold are plated over solid silver rather than over brass or steel. That matters for a piece worn against the neck every day, which is why the silver version needs no plating at all.
It suits a birthday, a graduation, Christmas, a new baby, a bridesmaid, or a first serious piece of jewelry for a teenager.

CHOOSING A LENGTH

14" sits at the base of the throat and is usually a child's length.
16" sits right on the collarbone, which is where this pendant is designed to be seen.
18" falls just below it and is the most common adult choice.
20" and 22" sit lower on the chest and layer well over a longer chain.

Q: Is the gold solid gold?
A: No. It is 24K gold plating over 925 sterling silver. The silver underneath is solid, unlike most plated jewelry at this price.
Q: Will the plating wear off?
A: Plating is a surface layer, and it thins over years of daily wear, faster where a chain rubs. Keep it away from perfume, chlorine and cleaning products. If it ever wears through, what shows underneath is sterling silver, not base metal.
Q: Does sterling silver tarnish?
A: It can darken over time, which is normal for 925. A soft polishing cloth brings it back.
Q: Can I have a lowercase letter or a different font?
A: This pendant is made in one bold capital font. Message me if you need something else, and I will tell you what I can do.
Q: Can I order a set of letters?
A: Yes. Order one necklace per letter and type each one in its own personalization box.
